Study of Brandon Marshall

When the Jets were in town playing the Steelers, I focused my attention on Brandon Marshall (@brandonmarshall15).  He is probably the Jets best player.  As a wide receiver, he probably isn’t the best ever, but he is extremely good.  Below are some of my Brandon Marshall photos from that game.  Enjoy the Brandon Marshall series below.

Dubrovnik Cafe

We had a great time walking the walled city of Dubrovnik Croatia.  What an amazing place!!!  If you ever get the chance to visit, don’t wait.  Anyway, while we were walking down the main street within the walled city, we kept passing these little alleys.  Some of them were empty, but some of them were being used for all kinds of things.  This specific alley was being used as a café.  You can see, the café takes up the entire space.

Jerry Jones and I

Fellow sports photographer Frank Hyatt sent me this photo.  Its from the November 13th game when the Dallas Cowboys were in town to play the Steelers.  Prior to the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones went over to the stands to sign autographs.  So I ran over to capture the moment.  I didn't know that Frank would capture a photo of me, while I photographed Jerry.  So you get to see Jerry and I hanging out on the sideline before the game.

OBJ

It was a chilly night at the office tonight (Heinz Field in Pittsburgh).  The Steelers played pretty dominant, holding the New York Giants to just 14 points.  But it was a nice opportunity to see a few great players on the Giants.  One of them is Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ).  He is very impressive and reminds me of Antonio Brown.  They are about the same size and play a similar style.  So I thought I’d share one of my OBJ photos with you from the game.

The Bridge

We recently spent a little time at the Ocean Coral Resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico.  This was the first trip we’ve taken with Blair in a very long time.  Blair and I took photos on a number of occasions and locations.  We all had a great time and it was nice to get some warm weather.

I took this photo of “The Bridge” that connects the main building of the resort with Building 16, which was where our hotel room was located.  So we walked this path a bunch over the course of our stay.

Bull Sharks

We had a wonderful time scuba diving recently with 12 female bull sharks off the Playa del Carmen beach in Mexico.  It was a nice relaxing; slow paced dive watching these great creatures swim around us (no cage).  I can’t get enough of the sharks.  I’ve dove with Great Whites, Tiger sharks, Sand Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Reef sharks, Caribbean sharks, etc….  Such wonderful animals.    Wow, what a great day diving with Phocea Mexico!!  Check them out if you are ever in this area and want to dive with Bull Sharks, reef dives or in the cenotes.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in the United States is a day to celebrate family and friends while being thankful for everything we have.  It has also become a tradition to have turkey lunch or dinner, while watching American Football.   There are three games today.  One of the games is the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Colts .

Ready To Run:

Le’Veon Bell has been a monster running back since entering the NFL.  Heck, he was a monster running back in college at Michigan State University.  He was probably a monster running back in high school, middle school, grade school, and as a toddler.  I wish he was on my favorite team (Detroit Lions).  Anyway, the point is that he is good at his job.

I took this picture last weekend in Cleveland, when the Steelers beat up on the Browns.

Wynwood Walls

Earlier this year, I spent a few days in Miami and I got the opportunity to photograph the very cool Wynwood Walls.  This area of the city is covered with wonderful graffiti by gifted artists.  These artists are sponsored and paid to create their art in this area.  Today’s post is from that night.  I got so many great photos that night.

Sack

The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game in Cleveland yesterday was an interesting experience.  There were numerous story lines from the game.  One of them was all the sacks the Steelers inflicted on the Browns’ quarterbacks.   This photo is one from the first half of the game.  Frankly, they all looked like they hurt to me.

You can tell it was a rough day for the Browns by looking at this helmet.

Steelers-Cowboys Mash Up

Ezekiel Elliott (21) ran all over the field on the Steelers last night, including the game-winning touchdown with nine seconds left in the game.  In this photo, you can see that three Steelers defenders tried to tackle Ezekiel and missed, which wasn’t uncommon during the game.  What I liked most about this photo is the “action” displayed in the photo.  You can see the motion, grass flying, etc….  Maybe I’m the only one who will like it.

Central Park In The Summer

I took this photo of “The Lake” in Central Park during our last visit to NYC.  This specific spot is just to the west of the Bow Bridge and Bethesda Fountain.  I had to sit here for what seemed like forever to capture this photo without a bunch of pedestrians on the path.  I like the Eldorado towers sticking up over the trees on the left side of the photo as a reminder that this quiet spot is in the heart of Manhattan.

Detroit Graffiti

I love this graffiti art, which we found inside the abandoned Fisher Body Plant in Detroit.  The day we were there, there was a larger photo group inside the building as well.  So it was a little hard to capture a photo without someone being in the way.  Every abandoned location has graffiti, but some of them are top notch.  That’s where I’d put this mural.  Top Notch!!

Onondago Falls

This has to be the best state park in Pennsylvania.  It’s just amazing with all the waterfalls.  It must be over the top when the fall foliage is peak.  I’ve been there a couple of times.  I could go back over and over.  It’s worth the travel to see this wonderful spot.  By the way, the state park is called Ricketts Glen State Park.

Gronk

I had a great time photographing the Steelers vs. Patriots game a few weeks ago because I enjoyed seeing the Patriots’ stars.  Of course, their biggest star is Tom Brady.  Maybe their second best star is Rob Gronkowski.  He scored a touchdown against the Steelers and recently broke the record for the most receiving touchdowns in Patriots history.  So there isn’t much more I can say….he is a great player.
