Band Room

This is from the Miles Bryant High School last year.  I haven’t been back to the school since the police found a dead body inside.  I’ve avoided since then because the police (I assume) have this under high surveillance.  I love taking photos of abandoned buildings, but the police don’t always appreciate the art form.  Anyway, this is the band room from within the school.

Isabella Street

Tonight’s post is a cool looking building down on Isabella Street on the North Shore area of Pittsburgh.  I’ve taken this perspective a few different times and I always like it.  Just a cool looking building with all the glass, reflections, etc…  Have a great weekend.

Dupree Crushing Moore

Bud Dupree had a number of huge hits on Matt Moore last Sunday.  Maybe the extreme cold temperature slowed Moore down.  I’m glad I wasn’t the one getting “smoked” by Dupree

16th Street Bridge

Today’s post is a picture I took back in 2015 while on a photo walk with Brad and Dave Truxell.  We had a good time, but didn’t get the best sky for sunset photos.  So we made the best of it and I got this.

Overholt Distillery No. 1 Scale Hopper

This is a photo of the No. 1 Scale Hopper at the abandoned Overholt Distillery outside of Pittsburgh.  This was a great site to explore and photograph.

Manhattan Bridge - Empire State Building

Can you see them both?  I took this photo from Brooklyn, looking back between a few buildings on the corner of Washington Street and Waters Street.  There have been many photos taken of this spot.  My version is just one of many and I like them all.  What do you think?  Do you like this night photo of NYC?

Pittsburgh Skyline

Here is a slightly different Pittsburgh perspective.  I took this down near the Clemente Bridge on top of an abandoned building last year.  It was a great evening and we captured some great pictures that night.

Go Lions!!!

So the Lions have clinched a playoff spot this season. I’m hoping they can win tonight at home against the Packers to get a home play off game in the first round.  And…. because I get sick of the Packers always winning.

Let’s hope Matthew Stafford has a huge night.  I took this picture of him at Heinz Field.

NYC Art House

The last couple of times we’ve been in NYC, this Art House has been setup on the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge.  You can see the bridge, the East River and Manhattan in the background.   I love this area of NYC at night.  The view of the city is wonderful.  I think it would be hard to find a better cityscape view anywhere else.

Florence Cathedral

Otherwise know as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Flore in Florence Italy.  It is the main church of Florence.  They started construction in 1296 in a Gothic style.  It was a quick construction project, only taking them 140 years to complete the structural construction it in 1436.  Then the decoration of the exterior began in the 14th century and was completed in 1887.  It is a huge structure with over 89,000 square feet inside and the height of the dome is 375.5 feet tall.

It is an outstanding architectural accomplishment and a beauty to see in person.  Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to see it in person.  As you can see from the photo, it is a popular spot.  About ten minutes after I took this shot, the sky opened up and it rained very hard.  So we all ran into the Cathedral to wait out the storm and explore the interior.  I loved all the small details of the exterior and interior of this amazing building.

Amendola

Tonight’s post is of New England Patriots’ Danny Amendola (@kingamendola).  Danny is in his 8th season as a wide receiver.  Some of those years were in St. Louise and the rest in New England.  He’s a small, quick receiver, who fits the Patriots’ style of play, although he only has 23 receptions so far this season.  It was nice watching him play and capturing some photos of him while they were in Pittsburgh.

Which One Is The Coach?

Tonight’s post is from the Steelers vs. Patriots game at Heinz Field back in October.  I liked this photo of Tom Brady talking with his coach (New England’s Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels).  The real question is, which one is really the one with authority.  My guess is that Tom has more authority then Josh, which would really make him the player, coach and decision maker.  What do you think?
