Lando Norris

I’m very sorry I haven’t posted anything since October 17th.  My job has been extremely busy with most days starting at 7am and going until late into the evening.  On top of that, I caused some of my own stress by spending a long weekend in Austin Texas.  While down there, I also has an extremely busy schedule because I was covering the FIA Formula 1 US Grand Prix, Formula 4 and W Series races at the Circuit Of The Americas race track.  Big thanks to Golden Sky Media for allowing me to cover the event for them.

 I covered the three days:

·      Friday – practice sessions

·      Saturday – practice and qualifying

·      Sunday – races

Over those three days covering the track, pit lane and the paddock, I took over 27,000 photos.  So, I’ve had two weeks of now stop action and a packed schedule.  Again, I’m sorry for the absence.

Here is a photo of Lando Norris who drives the number 4 McLaren race car.  Lando finished in 8th place.

Jordan Berry

The Pittsburgh Steelers cut Jordan Berry from the team today as part of their reduction to the league mandated 53-man roster.  He was their punter for the last six seasons.

I took this photo of Berry last season.  I didn’t plan to post this photo, but I heard about his release from the team and just happened to find this photo tonight looking for something to post.  It wouldn’t surprise me if he had the same expression on his face when he learned about getting cut from the team….  Of course, I’ll never know.

Pripyat Train Bridge

This is the bridge our train crossed going back and forth to Chernobyl every day.  Towards the end of the week, we went to this spot to photograph the bridge with the Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor Number 4 and its new sarcophagus in the background.  As you can tell, it was very overcast that afternoon…..

Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor #4

Wow!!  Its been over a month since we left the Ukraine.  I can’t believe it and I haven’t processed many photos from that trip yet.  Heck, I’ve been trying to finish up photos from a 2016 Europe trip….  I can’t imagine how many years it will take me to process the tons of photos I took at Chernobyl.  This is one of the few I’ve completed so far.  Blair and I explored Nuclear Reactor #5, which never got completed.  We found this view looking back at the melted down Reactor #4.  As you can tell, they have the protective shield over it now.
