Room With A View

I hope your weekend gets off to a great start.  If you’re looking for a room with a view, how about this one?  The price is right.  I found this beauty in a local popular abandoned building when Theaterwiz and Bob came for a visit.  This started as a dormitory and later served as a nursing facility.

Day Room

This is another photo from my trip to the abandoned Brownsville General Hospital in Brownsville PA.  I think this would have been called the Day Room (or living room) in the nursing dormitory area.  I found it very interesting that when they closed this facility; they just left furniture, patient files, clothing, etc… in just about every room.  The people just disappeared and they left everything behind.

Entrance To Brownsville General Hospital

Today’s photo is of the entrance to the abandoned Brownsville General Hospital in Pennsylvania.  This is sitting one block off the main street in this small town.  To learn more about this site, you can see two of my previous post on this location.

Happy Halloween – Scary Hospital Ward

Today’s photo is of a hospital ward from within the abandoned Brownsville General Hospital.  Brad, Dave and I did a little Urbex (urban exploration) looking for some great photo opportunities.  Not only did we capture some great photos, but exploring these old sites is very interesting.  The architecture, design, and building materials of old structures are amazing compared to new facilities.  What can I say?  I am a sucker for old buildings and you can see why with this photo.
