This is the Pripyat Hospital lobby inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. This hospital received and cared for the firefighters who responded to the nuclear reactor disaster when the Chernobyl accident occurred. All of the firefighters died of radiation exposure.
Colorful Chairs
When I pulled this photo up tonight before posting it, MJ said…”you don’t have colorful Easter eggs for them, but you have colorful chairs in that photo”. So I’m going with it!!
I took this photo on the east side of Bonaire at a Kite Surfing spot. The colors and textures caught my eye as we explored the area. Just looking at this photo, makes we want to go back. What an amazing country!! Everything about it is just beautiful.

Time To Go Back
I’m not traveling anytime soon. Keep in mind, that “soon” for me, means in the next week or so. There is something about traveling routinely….. you get used to it and miss it when you don’t. At least that’s how I feel about it.
Tonight’s photo is one I took during a past trip to Mexico. I always get up before sunrise on vacation to capture some pre-sunrise and sunrise photos. When I do that, I have the location to myself. This morning wasn’t any different. I had the entire beach to myself. Good times…..

Great Bay
It has been a few years since my last visit to St. Martin. I took this photo on the beach looking out at the Great Bay. Amazing location!! I’ve had this photo processed and sitting on my hard drive for a long time…. It was just waiting for it’s time… Guess what? It is time.

Dreaming
I don’t know about you, but I want… correction…I need routinely timed/planned vacations. When I have long breaks between vacations I go a little a little crazy… I can feel my stress increase. I’m in the middle of a long stretch right now. At least what I consider a long stretch and I can feel my stress increasing right now. My ability to tolerate things becomes harder during these long stretches….. So I’ll just dream (some may call it mediate) about my next trip by looking at this photo and attempt to remember what it felt like to sit there with my feet in the sand, wind on my face and sun rising from the sea… It’ll have to get me through until the next trip.
I took this photo near Puerto Morelos Mexico on a beautiful morning.

Magical Morning
I was fairly lazy on our last trip to Mexico, but I did get up one morning for the sunrise. Thankfully, I got an amazing show that morning. Here is one of many photos I took starting about an hour before sunrise going about 30 minutes past the sun coming up. As you can see, it was a magical morning.

Late Night Post
As you may have noticed, I had another brief time away from my site and social media. The reason…… is work. I’ve just been busy with work and had to prioritize work higher than most things lately. So you now get the first post in four days posted after 11:30pm. That sounded really depressing, but that’s not what I want. So you get this happy little photo from a past sunrise in Mexico. I woke up this morning at 530am and spent the very early morning on the beach by myself waiting for this moment.

Abandoned Pittsburgh
Yesterday I went on a long photo walk to numerous locations with a friend from California. He was in town for one afternoon, so we made the best of it and hit a number of popular Pittsburgh photo spots. We started with this abandoned church in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh. I’ve been in this spot a few different times and I am always surprised at what changes from visit to visit.
Yesterday, we ran into a lady who was trying to clean the place up. Probably a losing battle, but she was trying to get it done. Anyway, somebody set up these chairs to create a little seating area. So, I took advantage of it.
Day Room
This is another photo from my trip to the abandoned Brownsville General Hospital in Brownsville PA. I think this would have been called the Day Room (or living room) in the nursing dormitory area. I found it very interesting that when they closed this facility; they just left furniture, patient files, clothing, etc… in just about every room. The people just disappeared and they left everything behind.
Thanksgiving Day Blues
I have nothing to complain about and am very thankful for everything in my life. That said, I can't help but be bummed as I watched the Detroit Lions lose their 9th straight Thanksgiving day game in a row on a terrible call that cost them a TD and lost opportunities. I've enjoyed visiting with family, eating turkey and relaxing today.
So instead of being depressed about another Lions loss, I am going to think happy thoughts. I'll reflect back on our trip to Mexico when I took this picture. I captured some great sun rises on this trip and this picture is an example of what every morning looked like at our resort.
