Dream On The Move

During our last cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras, I had an opportunity to get some drone footage and photos of the Carnival Dream while it was coming into port.  I don’t know if the ship knew I was flying around it with the drone, but I got some great content.  Here is a photo I took when I was done and the ship was sailing away from me.

Cruise Casino

It’s been a very long week.  So I am keeping my post short tonight.  This is a 7-exposre auto-bracketed HDR photo of the casino on the Carnival Dream.  If you’ve been on this ship, you know this is a large floating city including the casino.  Have a great weekend.

Carnival Dream Dinning Room

This was the dinning room we used on the Carnival Dream last spring.  Usually when I am on a cruise, at least one day I get up early (like 5am ) to walk around the ship while everyone else is asleep.  That’s the only way you can see anything without someone in the way.  I get a little quiet time, take some photos and enjoy the ship design.

Sun Voyager

My friend called me tonight to ask me about my Iceland trip.  We don’t talk as much as we should and it was nice to hear from him.  So tonight I am posting this Iceland picture for Mike.  I hope he likes it.

Right on Saebraut Street in downtown Reykjavik Iceland along the harbor sits this beautiful sculpture called Sun Voyager.  The sculpture is a dreamboat ode to the sun designed by Jon Gunnar Arnason.

Even though it is an ode to the sun, you can see I didn’t take this picture during a great sunny day.  I actually took this 7-exposure HDR image at around midnight as the sun was going down on a stormy night.  If it wasn’t for the storm, even after the sun went down, it would have remained light out.

This sculpture is so cool.  I knew before our trip to Iceland I had to visit this location to see this amazing site.  And I did.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in person.
