At the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman, they have this outdoor fire pit that they have going every night. It seems weird to me to have a fire going at a spot that is over 80 degrees year-round. I suppose, it looks nice. Regardless, I captured this photo of it with the resort, pool and Caribbean Sea in the background.

In the United States, it is Independence Day. We celebrate the 4th of July every year with parades, flags, barbeques, family and lots of fireworks. I took these pictures tonight in Canonsburg PA. I probably should have gone into Pittsburgh for the big show, but I got lazy. Regardless, Canonsburg put on a nice show.

This is another photo from my trip to the abandoned Brownsville General Hospital in Brownsville PA. I think this would have been called the Day Room (or living room) in the nursing dormitory area. I found it very interesting that when they closed this facility; they just left furniture, patient files, clothing, etc… in just about every room. The people just disappeared and they left everything behind.

This was built for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to be used at Robins Field (now Robins Air Force Base) to fight aircraft crash fires and to help rescue victims. While I was visiting my friend Tony and his family in Georgia, we went to Robins Air Force Base Aircraft Museum. Tony is a firefighter (and I used to do the same job in my former life) at the base, so we were drawn to this antique fire truck. I am posting this picture tonight for Tony. Hope he likes it.
