My happy place when we’re not on the road. Enough said!!
30th Street
Another great Miami Beach art deco lifeguard shack.
Michigan Autumn
I took this picture as we drove through the Tunnel of Trees in Northern Michigan. I pulled over a number of times to hop out and capture some photos. I also took a bunch from the car, since it was raining during part of this drive. Anyway, I loved this house sitting back off the road.

Mackinac Entry
During our last trip to Michigan, we went to Mackinac Island. This was an entry way to one of the lakefront houses. I loved it!! You can make out the front door to the house through the front gate plant portal.

Santa's House
There is this little Christmas Village inside Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh. This is the featured hut within the village. About the only time to catch it without a line of people is the middle of the night or very early in the morning, which is when I captured this.

Currently Trump Land
I took this photo in August while MJ and I were in Washington DC visiting friends. We stayed at a hotel a few blocks from the White House and I went over at sunset to capture some images. I had a hard time capturing any without the protesters who were in front. So I had to get creative with my composition.

Wine Bar
This is the wine bar and steak house on one of the Carnival Cruise ships. But I honestly, don’t remember which ship this is. How sad is that, when I can’t remember which ship this is? Anyone out there in the Internet world know?
Some of the spaces on these ships are so cool. The design, textures, colors and just how warm they feel is appealing to me. I can’t help but see the beauty in these spaces.

Cheboygan Point Lighthouse
I can’t remember the last time I posted a photo of a lighthouse. So tonight, I have the Cheboygan Point Light house for your viewing pleasure. I think this is an abandoned structure.
I took this photo last fall, when I was on Lake Huron shipwrecking scuba diving with some friends. Between dives, I launched the drone and captured this photo. If you look closely, you can see us in the boat behind the lighthouse.

Spreading Salt
Like many areas of the country today, we got a little bit of snow (maybe 3 inches). So I took advantage of the situation and got outside to capture some winter photos, including some drone photography….. This is a photo of our home with Blair spreading salt on the driveway (look closely).

Automatic
Everyone knows I’m not a Steelers fan, but I can see why Steelers fans get frustrated with the offense at times. They (Bryant, James and Rogers) seem to drop more passes then they catch. The only consistent receiver on the team is Antonio Brown…just Automatic. He catches everything thrown his way including this acrobatic catch with Packers’ Davon House draped all over him.

President Hotel
This photo probably won’t be of much interest to anyone else….it’s one of those “you had to be there” photos. This is a photo of the pool (sort of looks like Pac-Man) at the President Hotel in Cape Town South Africa. I was captivated by this pool area. So I went out after sunset one evening to capture this photo with my drone looking down towards the back of the hotel.
They have a water shortage in Cape Town. Therefore, the hotel pumps water into the pool right from the Atlantic Ocean. They keep the water for a few days and then drain it back into the ocean and start all over again. So the water is super cold, since the Atlantic Ocean is freezing this far south in the Southern Hemisphere. Somehow that didn’t stop me from spending an hour in the water one evening.

GW Statue
Blair and I got out yesterday for some adventure. I’ve been wanting to get this photo for a long time. Based on where this sits on top of the dome above the Washington County Court House. My new toy, helped me capture it.

Athens Home Front
After exploring the Acropolis and Parthenonas in Athens Greece, I passed this home walking down the street on my way to lunch. The front of the home caught my eye and it resulted in this photo.

Isla Mujeres Lighthouse
Today’s photo is from our last Mexico trip. We took a day and traveled to Isla Mujeres to do a little exploring. I took this photograph on our way to the island from the mainland. I love the blue colors in the photo.

Great vacation spot
NYC Art House
The last couple of times we’ve been in NYC, this Art House has been setup on the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge. You can see the bridge, the East River and Manhattan in the background. I love this area of NYC at night. The view of the city is wonderful. I think it would be hard to find a better cityscape view anywhere else.

Merry Christmas
I hope you have a great holiday season. This photo is of the Christmas Tree in front of the Washington County Courthouse in Pennsylvania.
Washington County Courthouse
Allegheny County Courthouse Upshot
I took this shot a few weeks ago, while on a photo walk with Brad and Dave Truxell. We started out around the courthouse and covered that area of downtown Pittsburgh.
Anyway, we spent some time inside the courthouse courtyard, which is where I took this photo. I have to give my friend Jay Cassidy credit for this perspective. He took a photo with a perspective similar to this a while back and I loved it. So I took my own version.
Have a great night.
Residential Door in Maras Peru
After a tour of the Salinas de Maras (salt flats) and Moray (Inca archaeological concentric terraces), we spent some time in the small village of Maras. This very small village had narrow cobble stone streets with lots of interesting residential doors. This picture is an example of one such door. You can’t tell by looking at the picture, but the doors were only about 5 feet tall, which was typical of the doors in many old residential structures around Peru. The old government and cathedrals were the exact opposite. Many of them had doors over 20 feet tall.
Anyway, something about these doors caught my attention and I spent some time capturing them with my camera. By the way, I’ll post some pictures from the Salinas de Maras and Moray in the future.
Have a great weekend.
Washington County Courthouse
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. A while back, Dave Truxell and I spent a little time exploring this facility. For a fairly rural county, Washington County in Pennsylvania has a wonderful courthouse. It isn’t as big as some state capital buildings, but it could compete with them on architectural details and style.
This photo is of the upper level and dome. I had a great time photographing this building and I truly appreciate the foresight the county planners had when they selected this design and built it back in 1900.
Sandra Bullock’s Home
Honestly, I don’t really care much about celebrities. They’re just people we put on a high pillar for no reason. They’re no better then you and me. That said, I did like Sandra Bullock’s home in the Garden District of New Orleans. In fact, I liked the entire neighborhood. As MJ and I were walking through the area, somebody pointed out her home to us.
