Couple of items tonight:
1. - I am sorry I missed my routine every other day posting. I had family in from Michigan and North Carolina, so we were busy visiting with them. Fun times were had by all. I appreciate your loyal visit to my blog and didn’t mean to disappoint you.
2. - Happy Veteran’s Day. In the United States this is a holiday to salute all current and past individuals who are serving or have served in the military. My thanks go out to all of my fellow veterans.
3. - David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh. I met Dave and Brad Truxell at this site back in early September to photograph this under ground path that travels below the convention center between this funky river/waterfall on each side of it. In this picture the scene is a deep blood red, but the lights changed colors about every 30 seconds or so. If you wait, it changes to purple, red, blue, while, yellow, green, etc….. Sometimes numerous colors at once. While we were there the water wasn’t turned on. When the water is running, it runs down the walls to create this waterfall effect. Maybe some day I’ll go back to see it with the waterfalls running.
Regardless, even without the water running, I thought the area looked cool. I bet when MJ looks at it, she’ll call it a “brook picture”…… meaning something weird that only I would like and want to photograph. Lol Part of what I like about this picture is the reflection of the walls, ceiling and lights in the water. In some areas the reflection is so sharp that you can’t even tell it is water.
The convention center itself is a 1,500,000 square foot convention, conference and exhibition building. It is the first LEED-certified convention center in North America and one of the first in the world. I haven’t attended an event here, but the building looks cool.
