Cobb

It’s time for an NFL photo.  So, I present to you this photo I took of Randall Cobb ( @rcobb18 ) last season.  I’m not a Packers fan, but it was fun to photograph them from the sideline and see this fine organization up close.

Shirt Tail

I will be photographing the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. San Francisco 49ers this weekend at Heinz Field.  I’ve had a rough week physically with some minor issues, so I hope I feel better by Sunday.  Regardless, I’ll go and have a great time watching two great teams fight it out.

So thinking about the upcoming weekend got me thinking about the last game I shot, which was the Steelers vs. the Packers.  So I decided to post a photo from that game.  I love this photo and processed it a little different then normal.  I converted everything to black and white except of #27 Eddie Lacy and the Steelers defensive player who has him by the Shirt Tail.

#56 Julius Peppers

Here is another football photo for you today.  This is Julius Peppers, the Right Outside Linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.  Julius played a number of years in Chicago before he left for Green Bay.

I can’t tell you what it is about this picture that I like, but I just keep coming back to it again and again.   So I’m sharing it with you.  I hope you like it as much as I do.

All Pro QB

NFL Preseason isn’t the most exciting time of year, but it was a treat getting a close look at Aaron Rodgers.  It isn’t always worth it going to preseason games.  Many times the starters play little, if at all.  The teams don’t try hard all of time and they don’t use all of the plays in their playbook.  Frankly, these games are a waste of time from a fan and players perspective.  But they continue to make the owners a ton of money, since the fans still have to pay full price for a poor product.  In fact, season ticket holders are forced to purchase these games if they want their season tickets.

Anyway, I based my decision on whether to photograph the games based on who the visiting team is and whether or not I’ll get a reasonable shot at seeing them in the game.  So last weekend, I decided to go see the Steelers vs. Packers.  Why?  Because the Packers rarely come to Pittsburgh and Aaron was going to play a little in the first quarter.  So I photographed the first half, while the starters were playing.  I was happy I got a chance to see Aaron.  Regardless for how I feel about Green Bay Packers, I respect him as a person and quarterback.  Therefore, tonight’s post after a long absence is of #12, THE Aaron Rodgers.
