MJ and I had a chance to experience the relatively new Carnival Mardi Gras cruise ship. As you can imagine, it’s been a while since we’ve been on a cruise boat. Like my past practice, I got up very early one morning to photograph the ship while everyone else slept. This is one of many bars on the ship.
Red Light
Here is another drone photo of the South Haven Light on Lake Michigan. I took this photo 40 minutes after sunset last October.
South Haven Light
I know….another Michigan photo. This one is from South Haven Michigan. MJ was amazing and sat out in the cold for over an hour waiting for me to capture sunset and post-sunset photos of this light at the end of the pier. I got this one with the drone from a perspective not normally seen.

Sedona Airport Mesa
Sedona is truly a beautiful place as many of you know. This is the view from atop a bluff where the airport sits. It has to be the best airport view in the world. I’d bet money (a small amount, I’m not crazy) that more people go to the airport to watch the sunset everyday than they do to fly. There were tons of people up there, like us, for the view….of course this was long before the COVID-19 outbreak.

Sedona Beauty
Happy Tuesday!! It’s time to mix it up again and give you something different. So, tonight’s post is from the beautiful Sedona Arizona. Occasionally, we’d find one of these little trees trying to survive on a rock. That’s when I’d take another dozen photos trying to capture the perfect perspective…..

Sedona Sky
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends as the United States of America celebrates its Independence. We’ll all barbecue and drink beer with friends and family. Frankly, that’s what the holiday has evolved to in our current society.
About the photo: I took this just before sunset at the Sedona airport looking down on Sedona in the valley. Interestingly, this location is probably more popular for sunset and photo taking then it is for the airport.

Dubrovnik
This is the ancient walled city portion of Dubrovnik. MJ and I had such a great time exploring this area. It was equally great walking around the upper portion of the walls as it was at street level exploring the shops, architecture and churches. I wish we could go back.
By the way, today is our (MJ and I) anniversary. Twenty-nine years ago, we tied the knot against everyone’s advice. Our family and friends thought we were crazy. Guess what…they were correct about the crazy part, but not about the marriage. Those years have been great and I’d do it all over again. So today, like every day, my love goes out to MJ.

Sedona Mountains
It’s been a few years since our trip to Sedona. But I just finished processing the photos recently. It’s fairly common for me to fall way behind. So I just processed this image and am sharing it with you.

Flying Chili
MJ continues to bug me for more South Africa animal photos…. So here is another animal photo, maybe not the type of animal you’d expect. But it’ll work. This is the Red Billed Hornbill or otherwise known as the Flying Chili by our safari guide.
Have a great Wednesday.

Sedona Sunset
I’m going to be busy over the next week or so. I don’t know if I’ll have time to post any photos this week or not. I’ll do my best to post via my normal schedule…but no promises. For now, you can enjoy this panorama photo I took while we were in Sedona Arizona. We (Kris, Scott, MJ and I) all went up to the Sedona airport to get up on the hill top for this view. It’s not a secret spot…there were hundreds of people up there doing the same thing.

Quick post for you tonight. Sorry I won’t have a long explanation for you or anything great to say. I’m just busy. Have a great evening and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

RedFrog Pub
I’ve posted photos from this ship (Carnival Vista) in the past. It’s a great ship with amazing features. I loved the colors and design of this pub on the Promenade deck and spent a little time here. We were on board during the very first cruise that sailed around Europe.

Sedona Panorama
Today’s post is from outside of Sedona Arizona. We had a great trip here with Kris and Scott. I took this photo (really 25 photos put together) during the middle of a Pink Jeep tour through the mountains.

Red #3
I took this photo of the green on Red #3 a few weeks ago before it was taken out. The Valley Brook Country Club is removing it to add more parking. They requested a few photos of this spot and a couple of holes before they are gone. Beautiful spot, don’t you think?

2nd Yard Flower
Here is another photo from our yard. I posted a flower photo from the yard a couple days ago. We have a few rose bushes in our yard and therefore we have some great roses (this year) to go along with all the other flowers. Last year (our first in this house), I trimmed them too short in the spring, thus we didn’t get any roses. This spring, I left them alone (lesson learned).

Sedona Landscape
This beautiful landscape is from right outside Sedona Arizona. We were fortunate and got to spend a few days in this part of the world a while back. The weather and the landscape is amazing. I’d go back in a heartbeat. It’s that good….if you haven’t been, put it on your “to do” list.

Sunrise on Carnival Vista
Sunrise on the ocean is a very special place. This sunrise took place last May on board the Carnival Vista in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It was the first ever cruise for this ship. We were lucky and got to experience this wonderful brand new ship. Like normal, I got up super early to photograph the ship and captured this beautiful sunrise.

Simpson Bay Sunset
Today’s blog post if of a sunset from Simpson’s Bay in St. Martin. We had a wonderful time traveling to this island with a few family members. Mother nature treated us to a week full of wonderful sunsets like this one. I took this photo from the beach at our resort. I like the moody feel of this photo and it takes me right back to our time sitting on the beach watching this unfold. Good times, great location.

Red Hole #3
Tonight I got the opportunity to photography the brand new Red Hole #3 at Valley Brook Country Club. It’s so new that it won’t even be open until spring of 2017. As you can see, it is a beautiful setting. What a great opportunity, wonderful location and beautiful photo!!
Hot Air Balloon
Today’s photo is from our trip to Sedona. While we were there, we went on an amazing hot air balloon ride over the area. It was a super fun way to spend the morning. I took this photo of the inside of the balloon as the pilot was filling it up with air. The balloon was still lying on its side about ¾ full, but not yet standing erect.
