This is a 7-exposure auto-bracketed photo captured at sunrise from the Secrets Silversands Resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico. MJ and I got up every morning before sunrise to check the weather….just so I could capture some nice photos. As you can see, we succeeded.

First, let me get this out of the way….. I know this isn’t a great photograph technically. The photography experts can point to all the problems with this photo. No need, I already know they exist.
Now, the reason I shared this photo was because of the great memories associated with this spot. This was the view from the beach side bar at the Secrets Silversands Resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico. I got up before the sun on numerous days to catch the sunrise. As you can tell, one of my favorite spots for watching the sunrise was from this bar. For the record, the bar wasn’t open at this time of the day…..so it wasn’t the drinks that made this a great sunrise spot.

I just can’t get enough of the photos from our last Mexico trip. It has only been 7 months since that trip, but if feels like it was 7 years ago. What a shame!!! Anyway, this is a photo of one of the probably 12 different pools at the Secrets Silversands Resort in Puerto Morelas Mexico.

I know, I know….. This picture isn’t a perfectly put together panorama photograph. It has some technical errors, but I just love it anyway. This picture is made from 21 exposures blended together to create this HDR Pano.
The sky was amazing, the facility is cool and I had the area to myself. I hope you enjoy it.

Here is a picture I took late at night with a series of long exposures while at the Secrets Silver Sands Resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico last December. There were all kinds of funky shaped pools in front of every building at this resort. Basically everyone has his or her own pool. It was great.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a charmed life and will be celebrating a 25th Anniversary with MJ later this summer. We’re not big on hallmark holidays. like Valentines Day. Although it does remind me about how lucky I’ve been to have all those years, months, days and minutes with MJ. Some of our favorite memories (but not all) have been from our trips. So tonight I decided to post a picture from our last vacation. I took this sunrise picture of the pool at the Secrets Silversands in Puerto Morelas Mexico. It was very quiet as we explored the resort before anyone else was awake and enjoyed the birth of a new day.
One additional note: I wanted to wish a happy 17th anniversary to Michelle and Travis. I hope they enjoy their day.
