This room was part of the locked down unit (highest security unit…criminally insane) at the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia. I don’t want to know what happened in this space by the patients and to the patients….
Babcock State Park
I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’m just taking it easy and enjoying some down time. Today’s photo is from Babcock State Park in West Virginia. Blair, MJ and I went down there last fall chasing the fall color change. As you can see, we missed it. But I got this great shot anyway.

New River Gorge Bridge
A few weeks ago, we were driving through West Virginia and we got a chance to stop at this great location. Unfortunately, the sky wasn’t very pretty while we were there, but I liked my photo regardless.

The Blackwater Falls
This is a 5-exposure set taken of the Blackwater Falls in
Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia. This is one of many waterfalls in this state park and this
specific one is over 50 feet tall.
Over the winter, they had a landslide that destroyed the lower
boardwalk, so while we where there you couldn’t get down to the lower viewing
platform seen in the photo. That
was all right with me, because that might have been to close for photography
anyway and people would have been in my shot.
