How about this resort lobby? Admittedly, this isn’t a typical hotel lobby. In fact, it isn’t a “hotel” at all. This is the lobby of the Carnival Vista cruise ship, which is a floating hotel/resort. We were on its maiden voyage and I took this on day two. Pretty cool spot!!

Wow, the weekend can’t come soon enough at this point. Nothing dramatic has happened this week, I’m just ready for the weekend. Therefore, I looked through some of my photos for a happy memory….. and I came across this beauty. I can remember standing on the Carnival Vista just after sunrise taking this photo. There were probably only 20 people up on the deck at the time and it felt like I had the entire ship to myself. Great moment!!

I honestly don’t remember which Carnival Cruise ship this photo is from. I’ve had this photo sitting on my hard drive for a while just waiting to share it with you some day. Well, today is the day. Believe it or not, I didn’t have a drink at this spot. But I liked the looks and design of this spot.

I hope you’re having a nice and warm Sunday. It is still freezing in my area, which has me thinking about warmer times/experiences. Today’s photo is from our European cruise on the Carnival Vista. Per my normal routine, I got up extremely early to capture this photo without other tourists in the way. I loved the colors in this part of the ship.

I’ve posted photos from this ship (Carnival Vista) in the past. It’s a great ship with amazing features. I loved the colors and design of this pub on the Promenade deck and spent a little time here. We were on board during the very first cruise that sailed around Europe.

Here is another photo of the Havana Bar on the Carnival Vista. I loved this part of the ship. It had such a good vibe, great colors, warm feeling, and wonderful music. If you’ve checked out my blog in the past, you know MJ and I like Carnival cruises.

Sunrise on the ocean is a very special place. This sunrise took place last May on board the Carnival Vista in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It was the first ever cruise for this ship. We were lucky and got to experience this wonderful brand new ship. Like normal, I got up super early to photograph the ship and captured this beautiful sunrise.

Here is a photo from the Carnival Vista looking down on the Lido Deck at sunrise in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. How many people get that experience? I can tell you that it isn’t many. Maybe 15 thousand people in the entire world could have experienced that. But if I had to guess, I’d say less then a thousand of the total possible actually got out of bed in time to experience a moment like this.

Carnival Vista Lido Deck
Today’s blog post is of the Casino Bar within the Carnival Vista cruise ship. I took this photo while we were sailing around Greece. As you can probably guess, I took this photo at around 530am to avoid any other passengers getting in the way of the photo. Cool architecture inside a large ship…at least that’s my opinion.

We couldn’t dock while we were in Kotor Montenegro. So they had to use tendor boats to get back and forth from shore. One of the tendors took us around front of the ship, allowing me to capture this great shot of the Carnival Vista with the mountains in the background.

This is a photo I took of the aft deck on the Carnival Vista on its maiden voyage. I should be clear, this was the maiden voyage with passengers (paying customers). I’m sure they did some sea test before allowing the passengers on the ship. Our stateroom was the upper deck in the middle. The area in the foreground of the photo is the Havana Bar & Pool area. What a cool new feature on the Carnival ships.
