I took this drone photo right after sunrise near Mid-Beach. You can see a few people walking on the beach along with the seagulls. I love the colors, textures, layers and patterns in this photo.
Sunrise Over The Beach
What can I say about this photo that is doesn’t say by itself? Probably nothing!!! Let’s just sit back and enjoy it. I took this photo, along with a bunch of others, with my drone flying back and forth low along the beach. I love the colors and feel of it.

Splash!!
I must have taken a couple hundred photos at this exact spot capturing the waves as they crashed up on the rocks behind the sea lions trying to capture the perfect moment when the entire scene came together. I doubt I captured the perfect image, but it turned out pretty good. In case you’re wondering, this spot is at the southern tip of Cape Peninsula in Western Cape South Africa.

Mexican Resort
MJ and I are currently planning our winter travel plans. It has me thinking about warm weather destinations. We didn’t fall in love this resort, but we had a good time. As you can tell, I captured this photo with my drone. Looks pretty doesn’t it??

Bottom Bay
MJ and I had a great time on our trip to Barbados. We rented a van and explored most of the island. I’d give this a very good rating compared to most Caribbean islands. Here is what I loved about it:
· The people are amazing and super friendly
· Around every corner is another outstanding beach….white powder sand
· Every water sport is available: surfing, sailing, scuba, snorkeling, etc…
· The geography is unique, with lots of variation around the island
· They have good infrastructure (water, electric, etc…)
· The weather is a great at an average daily temperature of 86 degrees with over 3,000 hours of sun per year
· Sea turtles…. It feels like every beach along the west coast has turtles…. Well maybe not every beach, but Carlisle Bay and Paynes Bay for sure…. Probably more, but those are the ones I can confirm.
· Churches. There are eleven parishes (sort of like a county) on the island. Each parish has a major historic church that dates back to the late 1700s or early 1800s. These are like the central hub of religion for each parish…or at least they used to be back in the day.
· Oh…did I mention the people. I have meet many friendly people in the past, but I don’t think I’ve seen or met a group as friendly as the Bajan people (Bajan means someone from Barbados)
Anyway, tonight’s picture is from Bottom Bay Barbados. This is a beach on the south coast with a wide expansive beach with smooth rolling waves riding onto the shore. The beach is semi enclosed by high coral cliffs, providing this panoramic view of the south shore. It has some cool tall palm trees that help make it beautiful and a cool atmosphere.
Our hotel has a great beach (really great), but Bottom Bay might be my favorite just because of it’s setting.
Puerto Morelos Sun Rise
I got up (which means MJ was disrupted) every morning at around 540am to peek outside. I was hoping for a week full of amazing sunrises. Instead, we got rain, clouds and more clouds. Almost every morning was a disappointment. But one morning we got lucky and Mother Nature gave us this sunrise. I’d say it was worth waking up early every morning on a vacation to experience and photograph. What do you think?
