Today, I have a drone photo for you that I took in downtown Washington Pennsylvania earlier this year.
Blair and Brook At The Point
Here is a short video created with the drone of Blair and I at the Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh. I believe this was captured in October 2019.
Chain Bridge
Some day…..some day, we’ll travel again. Budapest is high on my list to revisit.
I took this photo in the spring of 2019. The photo includes the Danube River and Chain Bridge in the foreground. Way in the back you can see the dome from St. Stephen’s Basilica. I don’t know the name of the building all lite up at the end of the bridge.
Seafire Christmas
I took this photo last December while staying at the Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman. You can’t see it, but just to the right (off the photo), they had a life size gingerbread house setup that you could walk into to get holiday favored and themed cocktail.
Pittsburgh's Point State Park Holiday Tree
I took this photo last year from the North Shore looking back at downtown. They put this fake holiday tree up at the Point State Park every year.
South Haven Sunset
Here is another perspective from my time in South Haven Michigan…. I had a good time on this chilly night taking tons of photos as the sunset through dusk and into night…. As you can see, I captured this a little before sunset.
1st Presbyterian Christmas Tree
This beautiful old church is in downtown Pittsburgh…. They do a great job of decorating for the holidays.

Where I Should Be Now...
Here is another holiday photo for you. I took this last year at this time and if not for COVID, I’d probably be there again…. I miss you @seafireresort. Someday I’ll be back to visit you and the rest of Grand Cayman.

PPG Place Tree
Now that Thanksgiving holiday is complete, I feel safe sharing Christmas holiday photos. Here is one I took on a past excursion to PPG Place in downtown Pittsburgh. I took this late in the day on a weekday so that I could avoid having a bunch of ice skaters getting in my photo.
By the way, the ice rink is elevated above the sidewalk. So, I had to stand on top of a patio table to capture this perspective, which resulted in me getting yelled at by the PPG Security Officer. No wonder why I didn’t get a Christmas gift that year….I was naughty.

Thanksgiving
I hope you had a great holiday. I am thankful for family and all our past travel. This photo is from our trip to Budapest. The dome on top of the Hungarian Parliament is pretty cool.

Here is a photo I took of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, which sits on Logan Square in downtown Philadelphia. I took this back in 2019.

Chernobyl Mural
Here is a mural I captured inside an abandoned building in the city of Pripyat. Sorry I can’t remember which building. Maybe some of my travel companions will remember. I think it was the Post Office in the town square….maybe????

Soviet Propaganda
I found these old Soviet propaganda signs at the back of the Pripyat Cultural Center. Pripyat had over 49,000 people before it was abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Cultural Center building was a great explore.

This photo and almost everyone I’ve posted in the last few months are from a better time…. We’ll get back to better times at some point. Until then, I’ll keep posting images that remind us of happier days and amazing places.

Vaco Leadership Cafe
Something a little different for you tonight. I had the honor of being interviewed about leadership during a crisis by the hosts of Vaco Leadership Café. This interview was conducted in early October before the recent COVID spike. If you’re interested in a 23-minute video on Leadership, you can use this LINK to find the video. You’ll have to scroll down, since it was posted November 12, 2020
Heyward
Here is a photo from last Sunday’s game of defensive lineman Cameron Heyward….

Dohany Street Synagogue
This great facility is also known as the Great Synagogue or Tabakgasse Synagogue. It is also the largest synagogue in Europe seating up to 3,000 people. Great spot to visit just to take in the wonderful architecture.

Kids Marching
I found this little scene inside the abandoned Carrie Furnace. I have no idea why this was sitting there, but I liked it.
