I hope you’re having a great weekend. Not much happening on our end…. Here are some photos from my Liberty Pole Spirits photo shoot in early July. If you haven’t visited their tasting room in downtown Washington PA, you’re missing out.
Typical Iceland Countryside
Iceland is full of spots like this. Just one great view after another…
NY Waterfalls
Here is another photo from Taughannock Falls. This is a zoomed in version of the top of the falls.
Seljalandsfoss
This unique waterfall in Iceland has a complete path that travels behind and underneath it. For some reason, during our first trip to Iceland in 2013, MJ and I didn’t explore these paths. We just looked at the waterfall from the front of it. This recent trip, we made sure to complete hike the path. We got wet from the mist, but it was great. It is one of those amazing experiences that we’ll never forget.
Hengifoss
MJ and I visited this waterfall back during our 2013 Iceland trip as well. From the parking lot to the waterfall, is an incredible long uphill hike. Last time, we hiked 80 percent of the way and then I took a photo with my telephoto lens. This time we didn’t plan on hiking that close. I planned all along to fly my drone close to it and save us the long hike and time. I wanted some closeup photos and some photos looking down on it. This is one of my favorites.
PGH Cityscape
I hope you’re having a great weekend. We got a little snow in our area yesterday. I took this drone photo a couple of weeks ago from downtown Pittsburgh (pre-snow). Look how high the water is in the rivers…. Right up to the top of the river walk. Anymore and they’ll have flooding in downtown Pittsburgh.

Fort Pitt Bridge and The City
I took this sunrise photo a few weeks ago when I was downtown with Brad and Dave. Not much I can say about it…. Just your typical downtown sunrise photo.
For those of you not from Pittsburgh, this is the Monongahela River, Fort Pitt Bridge, and downtown Pittsburgh on the left. The best view of the city, in my opinion, is when you come out of the Fort Pitt Tunnel and immediately enter this bridge. At that point, you get an amazing view of the city. #TheBestCityView

Ricketts Glen
Here is an oldie…meaning I took this photo a few years ago. It has been sitting on my hard drive in my folder where I save photos to share with you some day. For whatever reason, I’ve passed over this one for some time. But today is the day for it. Enjoy this waterfall from Ricketts Glen State Park in central Pennsylvania.

Babcock State Park
I feel like I missed fall this year. I don’t know if it was because of my work schedule, travel schedule or if I just blinked and missed it. Regardless, I missed it. Thankfully, we had nice weather this weekend.
Anyway, here is a fall photo I took, not this fall, down at Babcock State Park in West Virginia. It’s an amazing spot.

Serenity
As weird as this sounds, I can’t remember where I took this photo. It is either Rickets Glen State Park in central Pennsylvania or it is from Watkins Glen State Park in the State of New York. I was taking water fall photos in both places the same weekend and I’ve lost track. How sad is that??? My memory is getting really bad.

Ebenezer Bridge
I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend, at least if you’re in the United States. We had family over to visit, relax and hang out. Yesterday we went to Mingo Park and had a great time. I took this photo of Ebenezer Bridge inside the park….. it took some patience waiting for people to get out of the way (cars, bikers, walkers, etc…). They all wanted their time on the bridge.

West Branch Big Creek
Today’s tasks….taking care of a bunch of chores around the house today. I’ve been really busy lately and all the small things have been piling up behind my work and volunteer work deadlines. Anyway, I’ll stop complaining now, here is today’s post from northern Michigan. This is West Branch Big Creek at dawn.

Downtown Pittsburgh
Today’s photo is from the beautiful downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What else can I say about Pittsburgh that I haven’t already in past blog posts. I love this view. I also love the view when you drive through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and come up looking at the city. You can’t beat it.

Watkins Glen State Park
Today’s photo is from Watkins Glen State Park in New York State. This is a very unique state park with a Gorge Trail running down the middle of the park. This trail has a number of wonderful waterfalls, like this one.

Babcock State Park
I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’m just taking it easy and enjoying some down time. Today’s photo is from Babcock State Park in West Virginia. Blair, MJ and I went down there last fall chasing the fall color change. As you can see, we missed it. But I got this great shot anyway.

Onondago Falls
This has to be the best state park in Pennsylvania. It’s just amazing with all the waterfalls. It must be over the top when the fall foliage is peak. I’ve been there a couple of times. I could go back over and over. It’s worth the travel to see this wonderful spot. By the way, the state park is called Ricketts Glen State Park.

Falling Water
Tonight’s post is of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water home in rural southwestern Pennsylvania. It was originally built for the Kaufmann family, who owned a department store in downtown Pittsburgh back in the 1930s. This home is built over a waterfall on Bear Run in the Mill Run section of Fayette County in the Laurel Highlands area of the Allegheny Mountains.
The home is listed on Smithsonian's Life List of places "to visit before you die". It is also a National Historic Landmark.
We had some friends in for the weekend, so we visited this site and the Andy Warhol Museum in downtown Pittsburgh.
