AFC Super Bowl Selection

This isn’t my prediction about who will most likely play in the Super Bowl (that would probably be the Chiefs) from the AFC, but the team I’d like to see make it to the big game.

My selection is the Buffalo Bills.  Why?  Because:

·      They have a nice group of young talented players and I like the modest attitudes

·      I liked their old-style stadium which sits surrounded by residential houses

·      They’ve played in four Super Bowls, but have never won the game….

Super Bowl LIII

Today’s the day!!!  Rams vs. Pats.  I suggest we all sit back, enjoy the game and don’t take it to serious.  After all, it is just a game.  So if the Rams win, good for them and their fans.  And let’s all have the same approach if the Pats win.  I want it to be competitive and fun to watch.  Have a great Super Bowl Sunday.

Today’s photos is one I took when the Patriots were in town playing the Steelers.  I enjoyed capturing Brady and the Pats.

Just one more day until the Super Bowl where #12 is going for #6 (his 6th Super Bowl win).  We’ll see how this ends up, but I’m feeling good about it.

Bobby Whiskers

Bobby Whiskers is a nickname some of Gronk’s teammates call him or so the Internet claims.  I Googled this and don’t want to get into in here. You can look it up yourself if you want..  Changing subjects…. Do you think Gronk has a chance to be the Super Bowl MVP this weekend?  I think its very possible.

I can’t call him a secret weapon, because everyone know how great he is…..but he is probably the key to whether or not the Patriots win the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Week

There will be a ton of hype this week, most of which I’ll ignore.  I’ll just watch the game and enjoy it regardless of who wins.  But I am leaning towards one team over the other.  So, I’m curious who you’ll be cheering for during the big game.  Unless you’re from the Boston area, I’m guessing you’ll be pulling for the Rams.  The Patriots have become the team everyone loves to hate.  I get it, they’ve won a ton and it is easy to hate a consistent winner.  That said, I’ll be cheering for the Patriots for a few reasons:

·  Tom Brady is from the University of Michigan and I’m root for anyone from UofM or Michigan State.

·  Tom is just a good guy (family man, honest, etc..), regardless of how people want to paint him otherwise…. Sour grapes if you ask me.

· I want to see another team with 6 Super Bowl wins along with the Steelers.  Frankly, I’d like to see someone tie and pass the Steelers in this category.

If the Rams win, I won’t be upset.  But I’d prefer to see the Patriots tie the Steelers with Super Bowl wins.  I’ll be posting Patriots photos all week to high light my pick.

My Pick To Win The Super Bowl

Since my Detroit Lions will never win a Super Bowl, I have to celebrate through other teams and with their fans.  This year, I’d like to see the New England Patriots win the big game for a few reasons:

1.     Tom Brady is from the University of Michigan

2.     I want to see Tom go down in history as “the” best quarterback…which I think he is already

3.     He’s not a cheater…. Just saying

And that’s it.  I have nothing against the Falcon’s and if they win, I’ll be happy for their fans.  But I’m going with Tom.   Before are a few photos from the Steelers vs. Patriots game last fall that I photographed for the Observer-Reporter newspaper.  What a fun little gig that it.

Blood Moon Over Pittsburgh

Tonight, Blair and I went into the city to meet Brad for a photo walk.  Except we really didn’t walk anywhere.   We met at the Duquesne Incline to photograph the city with the super moon rising over the city.  It seems like a waste of time because there were to many clouds.  But all of a sudden, it popped out and we got a brief show.

I looked up and read about the Super Moon taking place this weekend.  I told my wife about it and I had my camera ready.  But I forgot all about it last night until a friend sent me a text asking how my shots looked.  With that reminder, I went out and captured a few.  So a big thanks to Rico for the reminder.

Super Moon

It is what it is!!  I took this photo last night with the following:

Nikon D800

Sigma 70-300mm 2.8f

Aperture set at 13f

Exposure time: 1/80

Focal Length: 420 (I put my 1.4x tele-extender on the lens)

I set all this up on my tripod.

After I took the picture, I cropped the photo and sharpened it some in Photoshop CS6.  Otherwise, “It is what it is!!”
