Liquid Lounge

Yesterday’s post was of the Havana Bar inside the Carnival Vista.  Today’s post is of the Liquid Lounge from the same ship.  I think Carnival should hire me as a full time photographer to travel the world photographing their ships, island experiences, entertainment, and everything cruising.  I could live the cruise lifestyle…..  Any chance Carnival will call me????

Havana Bar Again

Here is another photo of the Havana Bar on the Carnival Vista.  I loved this part of the ship.  It had such a good vibe, great colors, warm feeling, and wonderful music.  If you’ve checked out my blog in the past, you know MJ and I like Carnival cruises.

Minimalist

Today’s picture is one I took at a Steelers’ game last season as a U.S. Military Special Forces team parachuted into the stadium.  I’ve been thinking about Minimalist Photography for a while now.  So I went back to find this photo, because I knew it fit within this genre.  I’ve posted a few minimalist photos over the last few weeks so see how they did.   I hope you like the style and this photo.  Its simple, clean, and tells a story.

Red #3

I took this photo of the green on Red #3 a few weeks ago before it was taken out.  The Valley Brook Country Club is removing it to add more parking.  They requested a few photos of this spot and a couple of holes before they are gone.  Beautiful spot, don’t you think?

Dez

How’s your summer going?  Mine has been extremely busy and at this point it will be over before I can enjoy it.  Anyway, tonight’s post is of Dez Bryant.  I took this photo last season when the Cowboys were in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh View

Today’s post is from the East Liberty area of Pittsburgh.  The larger tower in the background is the amazing East Liberty Presbyterian Church.  In the foreground are the new Fairfield Apartments.  I liked the new/old contrast of the photo.

Grist Mill

Today’s picture is of the Grist Mill in Babcock State Park in West Virginia. We planned this perfectly to capture the fall color change at this spot and of course, it didn’t work out.  As you can see, the color was changing, but we missed the peak fall foliage color.

Abandoned Cathedral

Blair and I got out today to take a few photos.  We didn’t have the best luck, but I captured this one.  I’ve been to this location a few times and it changes every time I drop in on it.

My Current Project

My Current Project

One of the local country clubs has used me over the last few years for capturing photos of their amazing course.  They called me again recently to have me photograph a few of their greens before they take them off line as they remodel their course.  Here is a seek peek at one photo from this assignment.

United Nations

At this point with everything going on in our world, our country and in our government (specifically in Washington DC); we need stability and common sense.  The United Nations has worked since 1945, when it was created following World War II.  Let’s hope the UN can calm things down between nations across our globe at this time, when it seems like terrorism, anti-immigration, populism, discrimination, isolation, one upping each other, and just “win/lose” positioning from formal and unofficial leaders around the world are the norm.  I don’t know about you, but stability, common sense and peace should be the norm.

US Capital Building

I had a good trip to Washington DC earlier this year and I’m looking forward to the next DC trip later this summer.  I honestly don’t know how many times I’ve been to DC in the past…..so I’ll just guess by using the technical term…”a bunch”.

Line Of Scrimmage

Here is a photo from last season’s Steelers game in Cleveland.  There is just something about the line of scrimmage in football games.  That’s the battleground on the field.  When the players are lined up helmet to helmet waiting for the play to start, you can feel the tension.  Of course, the Browns don’t put up much of a challenge for the Steelers.

PGH Sunrise

I’ve been busy lately with work stuff.  Sorry I haven’t been posting as often as normal.  I’ll do my best, but probably won’t get back to normal until late June.  Regardless, today’s photo is a sunrise from the West End Bridge looking back at Pittsburgh.  Have a great week.

Another Carrie Furnace Pic

Here is another photo from our Carrie Furnace photo walk.  This is a really cool industrial location and the last remaining steel plant from the former Pittsburgh steel industry.  It isn’t in use anymore, but it keep as a “museum”.  Anyway, it’s fun to explore.

Bee

As you can tell, I’ve been playing with Macro Photography lately.  I took this photo today in my back yard trying to capture this bee has it buzzed around these flowers.  It wouldn’t hold still, imagine that, so getting a good photo wasn’t easy.
