Aruba Sailing Time Lapse

I know I’ve posted a few time lapse videos lately. Sorry I have another one for you tonight.

MJ and I took a sunset sail on a large Catamaran during our last trip. I stuck my DJI Pocket Osmo on the top of the boat and just let it roll for two hours. This time lapse is the result. Thanks to Captain Richard for allowing me to mount this camera near his control area.

Time Lapse from Carnival Glory

I took this time lapse with 1,891 photos put together to create this video.  I used a DJI Pocket Osmo strapped to the cabin balcony railing using my belt to hold it place.  I didn’t want it to fall overboard, so my belt did double duty.  Held my pants up and secured the Pocket Osmo to the ship railing.

The beginning of the video shows the beautiful Bonaire sunset, but shortly afterward you see the storm come in with a very dark dramatic looking sky and at the very end you can see the ship leave port with the island disappearing into the distance.

Another Bonaire Sunet

Here is another photo taken from our balcony on the Carnival Glory cruise ship. This time we were sitting in the port at Bonaire. That land in the photo is a small island called Klein Bonaire. What can I say, another beautiful day!

Glory Dusk

Another short blog post for you tonight.  Here is a photo I took on the Carnival Glory at dusk.  I love the blue colors on the deck and the orange colors in the background just after sunset.  This was also taken in Montego Bay Jamaica.

Szechenyi Chain Bridge

We had such an amazing time last year on the European river cruise.  Our trip ended in Budapest.  I can’t think of a better city to end the cruise at for a trip like that.  It was so wonderful.

This photo is from that trip.  I took this long exposure photo with my drone looking down at the Szechenyi Chain Bridge with Pest side of the city in the back ground….  You can also see a couple river cruise boats along the river side on each side of the bridge.

Slow Pittsburgh Night

I’m sorry…..another short post today….straight to the photo.  I took this last summer well after dark on a night the city was dead….as you can tell since there were no cars on the street except for a couple.  So, there you go!!

More on Shutter Rush...

I shared the news on our new project yesterday called “Shutter Rush – Baltimore Edition” (release date to be determined).  As part of yesterday’s post, I shared a thumbnail photo for the film.  Today, I’m sharing the second thumbnail.

I’m looking forward to the film release to see what kind of reaction we get.  Until then, I’ll just have to wait.

Shutter Rush

As some of you know, I covered the Steelers’ last game of the season in Baltimore (along with most of their home games).  I can’t believe I’ve been photographing the Steelers from the sidelines for 8 years now.

Anyway, I traveled with two other great sports photographers @jasonpohuski and @jakemysliwczykphoto.  We made a weekend out of it…traveled together, photographed many cool spots in the city and covered the game together.  As part of that adventure, we photographed of course, but we also captured much of it via video.  All that was put together by Jason into a feature film called “Shutter Rush – Baltimore Edition”.  Jason even got @underarmour to sponsor this project.  Big thanks to them for all their support and gear.  I don’t know when, but it sounds like this film will be released on Amazon Prime and other major streaming services in the near future.  Once that happens, I’ll give you an update.  In the meantime, we’re actively planning our next trip to have fun and capture photos and video for the next Shutter Rush edition…   More to come.

Zebra

I need another trip to Africa.  It won’t happen in 2020, so maybe……2021?????   It’s hard to say at this point, but we had such an amazing trip to Africa last time.  So, another is a “must do” for us at some point.  Of course, I’ve also been saying we need to return to Iceland and that hasn’t happened yet either.  To many great places, too little time and money…..

I captured this Zebra photo on one of the many game drives we completed in South Africa or it could have been a game drive in Swaziland.  I can’t remember anymore.  Side note, Swaziland changed their name to Eswatini in 2018 after we visited.  Regardless, enjoy the zebra pic!!

Aletta's Goat Farm

During our time in Bonaire, we visited Aletta’s Goat Farm.  We had a great time interacting with Aletta and her goats.  I’d recommend this spot for all the animal lovers in your group.

During our time in Bonaire, we saw goats, donkeys, lizards (Iguanas and others), birds (Pink Flamingos, Crested Caracara, etc..) turtles (land and sea), cats, dogs, and all kinds of aquatic creatures.

Don’t forget to watch the video below.

Pennsylvanian Ceiling

I hope you’re having a great weekend.  I can’t believe Saturday is already over…how did that happen.  Oh yeah, I spent it organizing camera gear and cleaning up my camera room (MJ calls it my Junk Room).

Today’s post is the beautiful ceiling at the Pennsylvanian building in downtown Pittsburgh.  This building was originally a train/bus station.  They use it now as an apartment building and event center.

Pittsburgh Under The Moon

I took this photo last summer on a clear night.  You can see the 3rd bridge (Rachel Carson Bridge) is covered for renovation.  I loved how this night cityscape photo turned out and really helps make Pittsburgh look great, which it is.

Seafire

I took this photo of the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman back in December.  I loved the color of the ocean and sky in this photo.  I took this at sunset right before we joined our group for dinner.
