South Haven Light

I know….another Michigan photo.  This one is from South Haven Michigan.  MJ was amazing and sat out in the cold for over an hour waiting for me to capture sunset and post-sunset photos of this light at the end of the pier.  I got this one with the drone from a perspective not normally seen.

Point Betsie Lighthouse

During our Michigan trip (supposed to be in Bermuda….thanks COVID!!), anyway….MJ and I took a little road trip over to this super cool lighthouse west of Traverse City.  The lighthouse is on the Lake Michigan shore also close to Crystal Lake.  I took a ton of photos from many perspectives (south side, west side, from the ground, from the air, etc…).  I’ll share more later, but I loved this close up version from the drone.

With this perspective you can only see the top of the lighthouse, but the rest of the tower and building will be shared in future photos.

Chateau Chantal

This is one of my favorite wineries!!  If you’re ever in the Traverse City Michigan area, head up Old Mission Peninsula, do yourself a favor and stop in for a sip.  By the way, the views overlooking West and East arm of Grand Traverse Bay are amazing from their location as well.

Tunnel of Trees

MJ and I are supposed to be in Bermuda…..but COVID messed that up, like it messed up all of 2020.  So, we decided to get away regardless….  Pure Michigan it is!!  We traveled the Lake Michigan coast.  This photo is from inside the Tunnel of Trees which is north of Harbor Springs.

Fall On The Trail

MJ and I went for a little hike on the Montour Trail in Washington County last weekend.  I dragged my camera along, because if I didn’t there would have been an amazing shot to take without a camera.  So, I carried it the entire walk and took a grand total of one photo and here it is…….

Packard Plant Water Tower

The famous abandoned Packard Automotive Plant in Detroit.  I loved the photos I got with the drone about the water tower.

Flight 93 Museum

I’ve been holding this photo back for some time.  I have no reason why.  I loved the leading lines and the design of this structure.  This is the entrance to the Flight 93 Museum outside of Pittsburgh.  The building is great but the material inside is powerful and sad stuff.

Downtown Pittsburgh

Tonight, I have an evening photo of Pittsburgh taken last year.  How can you tell it wasn’t taken this year?   You can tell by looking at all the travel light trails on the roads.  If I had taken it this year the street would have been empty.  Truly beautiful downtown city.

Danube Views

In this post, I have the beautiful Chain Bridge and Hungarian Parliament Building along the Danube River in Budapest Hungary.  I loved this city.  If we can ever get over, around and/or past COVID-19, I hope to go to Budapest again.

Detroit Glory

This abandoned automotive factory is a wonderful explore.  I’ve been there a couple of times and would go back again.  It isn’t as big as the abandoned Packard Plant, but it is massive in its own right and there was a section full of unopened hockey sports cards….

City Methodist

Here is a photo I took with my drone outside the abandoned City Methodist Church in Gary Indiana.  Of course, this was taken during the filming of “Shutter Rush – City of Abandonment”.  I don’t think we used it in the film, but I liked this photo regardless.

Change The System...

“Change the system, not the climate, the future is for children”… nice graffiti message on an alley wall in Regensburg Germany.  We saw lots of graffiti around Europe with this type of style, interesting how different it is compared to the very modern (almost pop culture) graffiti style in the United States.  By the way, I have no idea if this is random or supported by a specific group or political party.

VIYNL 19

Here is another view from inside Veronica’s Veil.  I loved the “vinyl 19” graffiti on the back of the chairs. I saw this composition when we first arrived and mentioned I was going to capture it before we left….. So Blair took this photo before me since I mentioned it….  He is such a copycat….
