This room was part of the locked down unit (highest security unit…criminally insane) at the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia. I don’t want to know what happened in this space by the patients and to the patients….

Pre-dawn Confidante Hotel
MJ and I spent a week here in January to escape work, COVID (well sort of), and life. Lots of lounging by the pool that week. I captured this photo a few minutes before sunrise one morning. Nice hotel and location.
Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery
MJ and I visited this nice winery last October. That was probably the trip where we bot got COVID. Fortunately, we ended up okay, but I know 600k+ individuals across the United States (any many more across the world) didn’t make it. My heart goes out to all those families.
Back to the winery…they have a beautiful setting, nice facility and great wine. I captured these rows of grapes as we were driving away.
Mackinac Island Tiger Lily
I captured this photo in someone’s front yard while we walked around the beautiful Mackinac Island last August. I liked the combination of the flowers and the iron fence.

Montenegro Church
This pretty image has been waiting to make an appearance for a number of years. I took this photo many years ago while MJ and I were in the country of Montenegro. I don’t remember the name of the village, but I remember MJ explored a museum about the history of the country while I ran around the town capturing hundreds of photos.

Breakwater
This wonderful Art Deco restaurant is part of South Beach Miami. MJ and I had dinner near here and enjoyed a nice walk back to our hotel beyond party central. Of course, as we walked, I snapped a bunch of pictures
Chase Claypool
It’ll help having JuJu back with the Steelers, but I’m not convinced he is a “number one” wide receiver. But I think he can help make Chase a number one receiver. JuJu belongs in the slot and Chase can run deep and sideline routes. If Chase doesn’t screw up or get hurt, I think he can have a great career.
PPG Arena
My Red Wings didn’t make it into the NHL Playoffs, which was disappointing. Locally the Pens fans had their season come to an end this week as well. This statute is outside the Pens’ stadium in downtown Pittsburgh. Honestly, I don’t know which players are represented. I’m sure a Pens fan could tell us.
Arch
This arch is one of many at the Pennsylvanian Building in downtown Pittsburgh. This former train station is now an event center and apartment building. It is worth an explore.
Matthias Church - Budapest
Very interesting side entrance to this amazing church, which looks down upon Budapest. The view from this spot looking down into the city is wonderful.
Miami Beach Sunrise
I loved all the different Art Deco Lifeguard shacks along Miami Beach. Maybe the best Lifeguard shacks ever built.

Bonaire Donkey
During both of our trips to Bonaire, we visited the Donkey Sanctuary. Great experiences!! This cute guy tried to camouflage himself in the brush.
