Grace To Grace Steeple

Tonight’s post is a photo I took with my drone during my last trip to Detroit.  This spot is about a 100-yards from the famous Michigan Central (train) Station, which was recently purchased by Ford.  That building sits to the right just outside the frame of this photo.  I liked the steeple on this old church, that has a sign on it called the Grace To Grace Christian Fellowship.  Honestly, it was hard to tell whether or not this church was still being used.

Rail To Trail Sunset

A few weeks ago, I borrowed a bike from a friend so that I could cover some serious ground on the Montour Trail.  My goal was to capture as many fall photos on this trail as I could before the sunset.

This photo was taken from a large bridge that crosses Chartiers Creek and runs past Valleybrook Golf Course in Washington County PA.  I liked the combination of the trail (leading lines), the golf course and the sunset.  What do you think?

Pittsburgh Day To Night

I saw some cool photos by a New York City photographer where he merged photos from the day and night time into one awesome photo.  So I went to the West End Overlook tonight with Dave and Brad Truxell to capture some photos for this type of shot.  This is my first attempt at a Day To Night photo.  It isn’t even close to the quality I’ve seen by others, but I thought I would share it anyway.  This photo is made up of 14 exposures merged into 2 HDR images, which I blended together for the final photo.  Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
