Or what’s left of it…. The original British fort from the mid-1700s during the French and Indian War was constructed in the area that is now downtown Pittsburgh. The outline of the Fort Pitt walls are all that remain of the fort, which sits inside Point State Park. This is a great city park at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers and the start of the Ohio river (thus 3 Rivers).
