Brad dragged me out of the house on a recent, very cold morning to take some photos, which turned out great. I didn’t love getting up at 530am, but we had a good time. Big thanks to Brad.
I captured this photo on the Clemente Bridge that morning.

Here is a photo from last Sunday. I met up with David for dinner and a few photos. I captured this at dusk from the North Shore looking across the river towards downtown.
How was your week? I’m glad the work week is over…. Happy thoughts the rest of the weekend is my only goal. This photo represents a past happy moment when Blair and I were hanging out at the Point State Park taking photos and just talking. If you look close, we’re the two people in front of the fountain.
I captured this photo when I was in Cincinnati last season covering the Steelers/Bengals game. Jake and I carpooled down there to cover the night game. The next morning before heading back to Pittsburgh, we went over to the Kentucky side of the river to get this photo looking back into the city.
Side note, Cincinnati has a bunch of nicknames including Cincy, The Nati, The Queen City, The Queen of the West, The Blue Chip City and The City of Seven Hills…….
My Christmas wish is for all of you to have a safe and happy holiday season, along with a wonderful 2021.
An aerial view from the Point State Park to downtown Pittsburgh. This was captured in the past during an overcast morning. So nice to see the city and not just the inside of my house or work, even if it is via video from happier times.
Here is a photo that’s been sitting on my hard drive for a couple of years waiting for it’s turn to shine. I took this just after sunset from the Top Of The Rock.

I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’ve been enjoying mine so far, but I want to go back to Bonaire…. Wow, what a great country, island, scuba diving, food, etc…
I took this photo one evening from resort right around the end of sunset. The sky was beautiful that night.

I took this recently on a trip through part of Germany. This cool little college town has some long history like many areas in this part of the world including back to medieval times. We were out most of the day exploring this town. Later that night, I went out for a short period to capture some evening photos. I liked this one because you get the historic Stone Bridge (12th century), Danube River and the Dom St. Peter Cathedral (13th century Gothic style) all in one beautiful photo.

I took this photo about a year ago, but just processed (edited) it today. Using my normal process, (total random selection about what photo I process next) I came across this beauty this morning. I had a rare event happen. I had a few hours with nothing to do so I processed a large batch of photos. I normally do few per day, but don’t often get a large amount of time to dedicate towards it. It was raining outside, housework was done, and we didn’t have anywhere to go so it became photo editing time.
About this photo: Blair, Dave and I went for a photo walk in early 2018 around the Smithfield Bridge in Pittsburgh. We met up after work to capture some photos, grab dinner, and take more photos at sunset. I captured this one as a number of cars and a bus zoomed passed me. Pittsburgh has some interesting and beautiful bridges. The Smithfield Bridge is high on the list of wonderful spots.

I took this photo with my drone a few months ago in downtown Pittsburgh at dawn. The site wasn’t really even awake yet. This is a perspective not seen often. I like the leading lines with the road heading towards the Highmark building and the road along the river.

We took a cruise out of Long Beach California in 2018. Like all of our cruises in the past, that was a great trip. This was our first time leaving out of Long Beach. As we were leaving, I captured this panorama with my iPhone. I take a ton of iPhone photos and almost never show them to anyone. I don’ t know why….the phone takes some great photos. I just don’t. So, this might be a first for me. Anyway, enjoy this view of Long Beach CA.

Here is a photo I took via my drone. From this perspective, you can see how mother nature has retaken the entire area except for the buildings. From street level, at times, you can hardly see the buildings due to all the trees.
The leaves were starting to change colors and you can see Nuclear Reactor #4 in the background (the dome objective that they call the New Safe Confinement). That was the reactor that exploded during the disaster. The tall buildings in the foreground area typical concrete Soviet designed and built apartment buildings, all of which were abandoned since April 1986.

Merry Christmas!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season (however you celebrate) and have a great 2019.
I took this photo from Mt. Washington looking towards downtown Pittsburgh with the PPG Holiday tree displayed on Market Tree.

I’ve loved my past trips to San Francisco. What a great city! The last time I was there, I went to Lombard Street on two difference occasions. This specific time, it was late at night. I was basically the only person there. The other time was during daylight and it was packed with cars and tourist. I liked having it to myself the best.

I’m starting to work through my Chernobyl photos. It’s going to take me a very long time, but I like what I’m seeing so far. But I need to mix it up and not give you too many Ukraine photos in a row.
Tonight, I have a Big Apple sunset photo for you. MJ was extremely good that night waiting for me to get the perfect photo.

Today’s photo is something a little special for you. It’s a rare black and white photo from me….. I just don’t produce many black and white images. But when I processed this photo 2 years ago, I liked it better this way. Then I left it sitting on my hard drive, until right now….. So you now get to see this great picture of an alley in the city center of Cusco Peru.

I’ve had photo sitting on my hard drive for a while. Why I didn’t post it before is a question I can’t answer. Maybe because I didn’t want to post tons of NYC photos too close together in the past….. I don’t know. I know that I like this photo and wanted to post it. Anyway…. Here is it. The Manhattan skyline at sunset from the Top Of The Rock looking south.
