Ford Field

I love my Detroit Lions, but I can honestly say we’ll never see anything called the “NFL Super Bowl Detroit Lions” in this building or any other.  We won’t see any banners hanging from this ceiling more recent then the 1957 Championship banner for many, many years.  Probably long after I’m gone from this world.  So the question is why does anyone, including me, continue to cheer for this franchise?  I don’t have an answer to that question…..  They’re just my team…  It is, what is it!!

Regensburg Follow Up

Christmas Gift

MJ and I haven’t gotten each other Christmas gifts for many years.  Instead we travel throughout the year.  Occasionally during the trips, one of us will lean over and tell the other “Merry Christmas”.  We had some great trips last year including a great river cruise down the Danube (from Regensburg Germany through Austria and Slovakia with the final stop in Budapest Hungary).  That was a great Christmas gift!! 

I took this photo with my drone during that trip in Regensburg Germany. I can’t wait to see how the 2020 trips turn out…  We have some great trips already booked with a few other potentials.

Okay.  Next year I either need to get out and take a ton of holiday photos from numerous spots or just post fewer holiday photos…..  But this year I didn’t get out much, so you got stuck with numerous photos from PPG Plaza….

Santa's House

There is this little Christmas Village inside Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh.  This is the featured hut within the village.  About the only time to catch it without a line of people is the middle of the night or very early in the morning, which is when I captured this.

Presby Again

Keeping with the season, here is another holiday photo from within First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pittsburgh.  It’s a great facility and they do a nice job decorating it for the Christmas season.  I took this one from the balcony.

Holidays in the City

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.  This is of downtown Pittsburgh with the PPG Place building in the foreground and the Pittsburgh Christmas tree at the Point State Park in the background.  Of course, the photo also includes the three rivers (Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela).  Anyway, enough of that….again enjoy your weekend.

First Presbyterian

Here is a holiday photo from years ago.  This was taken many years ago now….  Brad, David and I got access to this church at something like 7am in the morning on a weekday before work.  They had the church open for homeless to come in to get out of the winter weather.    Good times.

Anyway, I reprocessed it using today’s technology and software.  It’s amazing how much better it looks.

Seafire Pool

MJ and I spent some time recently at a Seafire Resort in the Cayman Islands. That trip and my crazy work schedule have been the cause of my online absence. I’m sorry about that.

I took this photo at sunset with the ocean and the sunset in the background. This resort had an amazing pool, which we took full advantage of during our time at the resort.

Jupiter Factory

Blair and I found this cool spot upstairs in the Jupiter Factory.  This is one of hundreds of abandoned buildings within Pripyat, Ukraine, which is part of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

Philly

I took this photo with my drone a few months ago.  I like this photo because there are so many interesting items in the photo.  You have the church, museum, streets and lower level freeway system, green spaces, high raise in the background, etc….  I like the patterns, leading lines, architecture, etc…
