Short post tonight…. Here is Artie Burns from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Good luck to him as he joins the Chicago Bears for the 2020 season.

I need to think about some happier moments right now. There are to many negative things in the news and around us all every day at the moment. We all need a little positivity. So, I’m posting the sunrise photo from last spring in downtown Pittsburgh.

I captured this drone video during the filming of “Shutter Rush – Baltimore Edition”, which is now playing on Amazon Prime. We went to capture photos and video at Under Armour’s Corporate Offices since they sponsored us for this project.
It was a fun project to work on with @jasonpohuski and @jakemysliwczykphoto. Teaser…we filmed a 2nd Episode in Gary Indiana recently to be released late spring/early summer.
Before the world fell apart, MJ and I went on a cruise out of New Orleans. I captured this time lapse video from our cruise ship balcony as the ship left the Port of New Orleans.
As we all struggle with the impacts of COVID world-wide, my thoughts go out to many areas around the world who are getting hit the hardest right now. One of those areas is NYC. I took this photo last year of the Oculus near the World Trade Center.

Something different for you tonight. I’ve been on a roll of posting dark photos lately. Anyway, here is a Mike Tomlin photo for you from last season. It was the NFL’s 150th anniversary last year, therefore they had all teams wear gear with the year they were created….. For the Pittsburgh Steelers it’s 1933.

During the recent trip to Gary Indiana to film the 2nd Episode of “Shutter Rush” (look for it in the near future on Amazon Prime), we completed some Steel Wool photos in a number of locations. Jason did all the spinning while Jake, Blair, Mike, Bob and I captured it with video, photo and sound. This is from the basement of the abandoned U.S. Post Office.

I know tons of folks are posting cool Coronavirus blogs, photos, memes and other things that are generally humorous or encouraging others to be serious. As most of you know, I work in healthcare. So, I don’t have the energy right now for either of the above….not that I have a problem with it. I’ll just leave you with this photo taken at an abandoned school in Gary Indiana.

I’m keeping it short tonight. I captured this beauty in the basement of the abandoned U.S. Post Office in Gary Indiana.

I was lucky and got to visit Gary Indiana recently with a great group of photographers (Blair, Jason, Jake, Mike and Bob). You might ask, why visit Gary Indiana??? We went to capture the beauty of their numerous abandoned buildings and film our experience for the next edition of “Shutter Rush”, which is now entering post-production. I don’t know the release date yet, but I’m looking forward to watching the final product.
By the way, I captured this photo inside the abandoned Post Office. I love really good graffiti and I appreciate the talent it takes to create art like this. I’m not exactly sure what it says, but I loved how the light comes down through the roof lighting the art.

Now that our film (Shutter Rush – Baltimore Edition) has been released on Amazon Prime (in Canada and the United States), I can share this photo. If you watched the film, you know we did some steel wool photos in front of Under Armour’s headquarters…. thankfully we didn’t burn up their property. We planned to do something special at their facility because they helped sponsor us that weekend and for the film. So, we wanted to add an Under Armour photo shoot to the video to show them some love.
As part of that photo shoot, I took a ton of images and video with my camera, iPhone and my drone. This photo looking down at Under Armour’s property on the waterfront, is of course a drone shot. Side note, MJ’s white SUV made it in this image and it was in the film a number of times.

Here is another classic Pittsburgh location. This is the Pennsylvania Building in downtown Pittsburgh. Water puddles are great things!! Do you agree?

At the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman, they have this outdoor fire pit that they have going every night. It seems weird to me to have a fire going at a spot that is over 80 degrees year-round. I suppose, it looks nice. Regardless, I captured this photo of it with the resort, pool and Caribbean Sea in the background.

Back in early February, I mentioned an exciting project I was involved in with @jasonpohuski and @jakemysliwczykphoto. We completed a road trip to Baltimore to capture photos around the city and of the Steelers vs Ravens football game. We recorded the entire experience and Jason created this documentary, which was just released on Amazon Prime this week. You can find it by searching for “Shutter Rush – Baltimore Edition”.
Please do me a favor, go out to Amazon and give it a 5 Star rating….even if you hate it…..but I think you’ll like it. I’d really appreciate it.
I hope you have a great weekend. I don’t have any solid plans other then to relax, do some work around the house and spend time with family.
I took this photo last spring when Bob, Theatherwiz, Blair and I spent a weekend capturing photos of abandoned buildings including the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virigina.

Here is a photo that’s been sitting on my hard drive for a couple of years waiting for it’s turn to shine. I took this just after sunset from the Top Of The Rock.

I know I’ve been absent from my blog and social media lately. No excuses. So, to make it up to you, here is a sunset from tonight. MJ and I watched this baby set at Coccoloba’s on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. Of course, I captured the sunset with three different cameras (Sony A7riv, DJI Pocket Osmo and my iPhone). Here is the Sony version.
Here is something a little different for you. I captured this photo at the Colts vs. Steelers game last season. I was walking behind the Colts bench area and noticed they had their shoe case split open. So, I squatted down to grab a quick photo and captured my reflection in the glass. That was also about the moment I got in trouble. Security came over and ran me off. We’re not allowed to take any still photos from behind the team bench area for some reason.
Here is another Baltimore photo for you on back to back nights. This is from the famous Graffiti Alley in West Baltimore. We (Jason, Jake and I) hung out here for a while capturing photos, video, drone footage and steel wool shots. At this location, we met a large group of young men who kept saying they were “100% Bangers” whatever that meant. Jake got wrapped up into photographing them all, like a mini photo shoot.

I can’t remember which Detroit building this was in…. I should start keeping better track of these things. Anyway, I liked this graffiti mural within this facility.
