I know….another Michigan photo. This one is from South Haven Michigan. MJ was amazing and sat out in the cold for over an hour waiting for me to capture sunset and post-sunset photos of this light at the end of the pier. I got this one with the drone from a perspective not normally seen.

In this post, I have the beautiful Chain Bridge and Hungarian Parliament Building along the Danube River in Budapest Hungary. I loved this city. If we can ever get over, around and/or past COVID-19, I hope to go to Budapest again.

I’m sure I said this in the past, but I’ll say it again. I loved our time in Budapest. The history, architecture, food and people are amazing. I had a great time wandering around taking photos. I got a chance on two nights to just explore along the Danube River by myself and captured this photo on one of those nights. This is the Szechenyi Chain Bride with the Buda Castle in the background. The castle is now used for the Hungarian National Gallery. By the way, I captured this photo with my drone. Our visit to Budapest was part of our Danube River cruise on one of Gate 1 Travel’s boats.

This is the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. There are a number of great bridges in Pittsburgh, but the Smithfield Bridge is probably my favorite due to how unique it is…. Plus, it has this great view.

I loved my time in Regensburg Germany. This small college city was great with some wonderful historic sites including the bridge, clock tower and cathedral in this photo. I captured this at dusk with my drone.

I love this view!! I took this photo looking towards southern Manhattan from the Top of the Rock. I’d highly recommend spending an evening up there for a few hours ranging before and after sunset.

At the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman, they have this outdoor fire pit that they have going every night. It seems weird to me to have a fire going at a spot that is over 80 degrees year-round. I suppose, it looks nice. Regardless, I captured this photo of it with the resort, pool and Caribbean Sea in the background.

Have a great weekend. I had all kinds of ideas about what I could and should do…. And I’m not doing any of them. So, what did I do? I ran a 5K fun run today to raise money and awareness for TRPIL, but otherwise I’ve got lazy and didn’t do much.
I took this photo few weeks ago at dusk in downtown Pittsburgh. I think Pittsburgh is a beautiful city with amazing views. This is one of many such spots. If you’re not familiar with Pittsburgh, this is the 6th Street Bridge in the foreground and the downtown area of the city behind it.

Another photo from the Grand Bahia Principle resort near Tulum Mexico. I took this photo this yesterday morning just after the sunrise, but before the morning shadows disappeared. We’ve had a great time, but if I was rating this resort…… well, I’d rather not say. Anyway, I always enjoy getting up early on vacation to catch sunrise photos and I try to get creative so that it isn’t always the same standard view of the ocean with a large ball of orange in the distance.

I took this photo overlooking the Colorado River last fall. I climbed up the hill and parked myself there for a few hours watching the sun go down. I researched this spot in advance and it didn’t disappoint me with its' beautiful view.

Neither MJ nor I are feeling very good tonight. Nothing serious, but I think we both just have a little bug or something (maybe it was just a long week for both of us). We had tickets tonight for the Washington Symphony Orchestra’s holiday performance, but we skipped it to get some rest at home. This gave me some time to process a few images I took in early 2012, which is the origin of tonight’s post. This is a picture from the West End City Park looking back at Pittsburgh’s Point. This is the area where the Alleghany and Monongahela Rivers come together to form the beginning of the Ohio River.
